Description

The BFT Maxima Ultra 36 is a high-performance automatic traffic barrier designed for intensive use at commercial and industrial entrances, large car parks, distribution centres and other high-traffic vehicle access points.

Supplied with a 6 metre aluminium boom, the Maxima Ultra 36 provides a reliable solution for controlling vehicle access across wider entrances. Its robust electromechanical drive incorporates an asynchronous three-phase motor with an integrated inverter, operating from a standard 230V single-phase power supply.

The oil-bath gearbox and crankshaft mechanism provide smooth, controlled movement, with adjustable opening and closing speeds and slowdown at the end of travel. The connecting rod-crank system also provides anti-vandal protection against forced boom movement.

The integrated BFT CSB Xtreme control panel supports U-Link connectivity, allowing integration with compatible access control and parking management systems. Encoder-based obstacle detection and self-diagnostic functions assist with safe operation and maintenance.

Designed for very intensive use, the Maxima Ultra 36 is rated for up to 5,000 movements per day with a 6m boom, making it suitable for busy commercial installations.

Installer Note

The BFT Maxima Ultra 36 is designed for commercial installations requiring a boom length of up to 6 metres.

For installations requiring a 6m clear drive-through opening with a swinging support leg, or additional boom accessories such as a lower skirt, the Maxima Ultra 36 XL may be required.

Although the barrier incorporates a three-phase motor, it operates from a 230V single-phase mains supply through the integrated inverter. A separate three-phase supply is not required.

The boom must be correctly balanced for its length and fitted accessories. Suitable foundations, electrical protection, vehicle detection and safety equipment must be provided in accordance with the installation requirements and site-specific risk assessment.

The stated opening and closing time is the manufacturer's operating range and will vary according to the boom length, balancing arrangement and programmed settings.
