BFT Pillar B 800 x 275mm Hydraulic Rising Bollard with LED Lights – Fail Safe

The BFT Pillar B 800 is a heavy-duty automatic hydraulic rising bollard designed for controlling vehicle access at commercial, industrial and restricted-access premises.

Featuring an 800mm rising height, 275mm nominal diameter and 6mm thick painted steel shaft, the Pillar B provides a robust solution for managing vehicle entry and exit. Integrated LED warning lights and a reflective strip improve visibility to approaching drivers.

This is the standard painted steel fail-safe version, designed to lower automatically in the event of a mains power failure, allowing vehicles to pass.

Suitable for very intensive use, the Pillar B is rated for up to 3,000 operations per day. Its hydraulic drive system provides controlled raising and lowering, while the hydraulic pump is positioned beneath the top flange for convenient maintenance access.

The bollard is designed to operate with a compatible BFT PERSEO control unit and can be incorporated into single or multiple-bollard vehicle access systems.

Installer Note

This is the standard 6mm painted steel fail-safe version of the BFT Pillar B 800.

Unlike the fail-secure (SD) model, which remains raised during a power failure, this version automatically lowers to allow vehicle passage.

The bollard requires a suitable below-ground concrete foundation, appropriate drainage and a compatible BFT PERSEO control unit.

For installations requiring greater resistance, BFT also offers a reinforced 10mm shaft version. The published impact and breaking resistance figures should not be interpreted as independent crash-test certification.
