BFT Pillar B 800 x 275mm Stainless Steel Hydraulic Bollard with LED Lights – Fail Safe

The BFT Pillar B 800 is a heavy-duty automatic hydraulic rising bollard designed for controlling vehicle access at commercial, industrial and high-traffic entrances.

Featuring an 800mm rising height, 275mm diameter stainless steel shaft and integrated LED light crown, the Pillar B provides a robust and highly visible access control solution. Its hydraulic operating system is designed for very intensive use, with a rated capacity of up to 3,000 operations per day.

This fail-safe version automatically lowers in the event of a mains power failure, allowing vehicles to pass without requiring manual release. This makes it particularly suitable for entrances where access must remain available during a power cut.

The Pillar B features a hydraulic pump positioned beneath the top flange to simplify servicing and maintenance. It is designed to operate with the BFT PERSEO CBD control unit and can be integrated with suitable access control and safety equipment.

Installer Note

This is the fail-safe version, designed to lower automatically during a power failure. It should not be confused with the fail-secure (SD) version, which remains raised when mains power is lost.

The bollard requires a suitable below-ground foundation, drainage provision and electrical installation. The PERSEO CBD control unit, safety devices, access control equipment and associated installation accessories should be specified for the project.

The stated resistance figures relate to the standard 6mm-shaft Pillar B. For installations requiring a higher level of impact resistance, BFT also manufactures a separate 10mm-shaft version.

Installation should be carried out by a competent installer following BFT's instructions and a site-specific risk assessment.
