BFT Pillar B 800 x 275mm Stainless Steel Hydraulic Rising Bollard with LED Lights – Fail Safe

The BFT Pillar B 800 is a heavy-duty automatic hydraulic rising bollard designed for controlling vehicle access at commercial premises, industrial sites, private developments and restricted entrances.

Featuring an 800mm rising height, 275mm nominal diameter and stainless steel shaft, the Pillar B provides a durable and professional access control solution. The bollard incorporates an integrated LED light crown and a 100mm reflective strip to improve visibility to approaching vehicles.

This is the standard 6mm stainless steel fail-safe version, which automatically lowers during a mains power failure, allowing vehicles to pass without manual intervention.

Designed for very intensive use, the Pillar B supports up to 3,000 operations per day, with a raising time of approximately 5 seconds. The hydraulic pump is positioned beneath the top flange for easier access during servicing and maintenance.

The bollard is designed for use with the BFT PERSEO control system and can be incorporated into individual or multiple-bollard vehicle access installations.

Installer Note

This is the 6mm stainless steel fail-safe version of the BFT Pillar B 800. It automatically lowers in the event of a power failure, unlike the fail-secure (SD) version, which maintains the vehicle restriction.

The bollard requires a suitable below-ground concrete foundation, appropriate drainage and a compatible BFT PERSEO control unit.

For installations requiring greater impact resistance, BFT also offers a reinforced 10mm shaft version.

The bollard should be installed with suitable vehicle detection, safety devices and traffic management equipment following a site-specific risk assessment. The published impact and breaking resistance figures do not, by themselves, establish a particular crash-test certification.
